What Are Your Essential Duties and Responsibilities?
Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes before hand-washing them or placing them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine, depending on the equipment assigned. Ensures complete sanitation and cleanliness.
Washes pots, pans, and trays by assigned procedures. Make certain that everything is clean and sanitary.
Depending on the equipment and procedures assigned, polishes silver with a burnishing machine tumbler, a chemical dip, a buffing wheel, and a hand cloth. Ensures complete sanitation and cleanliness.
Ensures that all safety procedures are followed.
Maintains temperatures and chemical levels in accordance with the provided standards.
Maintains dish area order and compliance with safety standards.
Sweeps and mop kitchen floors to ensure that safety and sanitation standards are met.
Worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces are all washed.
Removes trash and disposes of it in appropriate containers. Garbage cans are cleaned with steam or hosed out.
Transports supplies and equipment from storage to work areas.
Assists in the loading and unloading of supplies and products.
Other responsibilities may be assigned.
