Abdullah al Andalusi is a prominent intellectual activist for Islam and Muslim affairs who speaks, writes, and thinks on a global scale. His work is presenting the intellectual justifications for Islam through reasoned reasoning and advocating for the Islamic way of life and Islamic answers to modern issues. Abdullah personally adopts the views of the traditional Sunni schools of thought (Ahl ul Sunnah wa Jama’ah) in regard to Islam.

Abdullah, who is of Portuguese and French/Colonial African origin, was a Christian until converting to Islam at the age of 14 following a period of study that began when he was just 10 years old. Since then, he has kept up his in-depth study of Islam. With addition to his vast research, writing, and speaking on Islamic revivalism (nahda), theology, philosophy, the physical sciences, sociology, psychology, anthropology, and political philosophy, Abdullah has a wealth of experience working in the Muslim community.

The meaning of life, the existence of God, the Miracle of the Quran, the supremacy of the Shariah as a social and political system, and Islamic Economics are among the topics on which Abdullah has given speeches around the world. Additionally, Abdullah has published numerous essays and made in-depth speeches in which he logically critiques secularism, liberalism, secular democracy, and materialism (Atheism & Secular Humanism).

In addition to countless TV appearances on stations including the BBC, ITV, BBC Arabic, BBC Radio 4, Al Jazeera, Press TV, Islam Channel, and IQRA TV, he has given speeches in community centers, universities, and colleges. He has also debated a range of subjects, ranging from theology to political philosophy, with Atheists, Secularists, Agnostics, Liberals, and Christians.

He helped co-found The Muslim Debate Initiative in 2009, a platform for open discussion and incisive debate among public speakers, educators, and intellectuals from all walks of life.
